This old house is getting a facelift. The construction guys were able to show up this past week to mainly repair the leak above the far right living room window but also to go ahead and make repairs to the other ones so no leaks start in those either. You can see the tarp laying on the rooftop. It was draped over the window and that side of the house for the past few weeks.
Below, the window on the right side is completed with waterproof stuff on the inside, a new overhang and all materials around the outside of the window are also brand new.
The wet, deteriorated wood pulled out of the windowsills on the outside of the house. All the windows were like this, they said.
At the end of day 2 the windows on the far left are completed and the windows on the right just a few hours from being completed.
We'd like to have them do something about our front porch area next. We need some kind of overhang or something. Bob is going to do some sketches and we are going to look at another home similar to ours and see what their front door area looks like.
Looks great and a new overhang on the porch would benefit the whole look of the outside.
