It's been six months since I've written a post on this blog. I think Facebook kind of replaced blog time for me since it's easier and I don't have to think as much to write some quick sentences with the addition of a picture or two every couple days. This takes more time for sure.
We've had adjustments in the past 6 months here at this old house in the way of Robbie temporarily leaving the nest for school and Bob going on a few more business trips as needed. In a way, we've been busier with Robbie being gone. We've spent more time with friends and done a lot of home improvements in early fall. We were so busy with those projects that we didn't get to feel the "empty nest syndrome" until around Thanksgiving.
We visited Robbie at school several times during the fall semester and I took him many homemade meals and treats during that time. I missed him but quick visits every few weeks filled my maternal needs. We probably won't see him as much during the spring semester as he will hopefully get a job very soon and be busy on the weekends. He loves living away from home and I guess he thinks school is okay too. His grades were in the dumpster last semester so we all gave him an ultimatum to shape up or no more parental financial assistance. Let's hope he heeds the warning because it would be a tradgedy for him to live at home full time again.
I know that 2015 has some good things going on for us. We're looking forward to taking Bob's parents to Yellowstone National Park with us this summer and I'm going to Germany with a friend in August. Oh, how I love to travel! Hoping we can wrangle Robbie into a family vacation next year but I'm not sure where we'll go....NOT Panama City Beach!
I don't know how often I'll return to my blog but thought I'd check it out today and see if I've missed it. I kinda do.
