Stairs Project Update
Okay, we're not done yet but here is a before photo...dark, ugly stairs with horrid wrought iron railing.
Here is during the project. About 70 percent done with the entire project. Bob is working on the new banister and railings which will be both stained and painted wood. He also has strips of stained wood to place where the risers meet with the treads for a more finished look.
It's so nice to enter our home and see the improvement! I'll post more pictures after we get the banisters, etc. installed. We've also chosen a new light fixture for above the entry but that will be the last thing we install.

WOW the steps look great.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I need to get a close-up of the new stain. Bob did a really, really good job on the stain and polyurethane. The stain is lighter than the old stuff and matches better with the original floors upstairs. We want to match the new downstairs floors with the stairs as much as we can.
