Last Saturday was my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary. Fifty years is not something everyone can accomplish and I am not sure Bob and I will see our 50th unless we live to a fairly old age. I've only attended one other couple's 50th wedding anniversary and that was my grandparents' in 1993. My Bob and his sister wanted to have a surprise party for Bob and Phyllis on their anniversary this year. After months of planning it ended up that the surprise part fell through but it was still a lot of fun and everyone had a great time!
Bob and Phyllis after their arrival next to their original wedding photo from 1962.
Posing at their cake table with some yummy punch and delicious cake.
They cut their cake and fed each other...a couple times so that all of us could get photographs.
Bob and his Aunt Leann who flew in (surprise!) from California. Leann is Bob sr.'s sister.
Jennifer and I doing the "hostess" pose.
Me and Robbie.
The youngest grandkids, Griffin and Samantha (can you believe how big they are getting??)

And more grandkids...Lance, Adison and Ashton.

Phyllis and Bob starting the food line.
The catered food was fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn and rolls. Yummo!
The guest sign-in table with a signable mat for a 5x7 picture and Bob and Phyllis' wedding album.
It was truly a wonderful day to see Bob and Phyllis spending time with those closest friends and family who were able to attend their party. Several family members drove, or flew, in from out of town and spent a few hours mingling, eating and celebrating with the special couple.
